Police Nab 11 More Suspects In Sh*cking Ozoro S3xual Assault Crackdown
The Delta State Police Command has taken into custody eleven additional individuals in connection with the alleged sexual assault incidents that occurred in Oramudu Quarters, Ozoro, raising the total number of suspects arrested to fifteen. According to credible reports, the latest arrests were made following a directive issued by the Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, who instructed the CP Special Assignment Team to intensify efforts and conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, disclosed that operatives acted on video footage and intelligence to track down and apprehend several suspects, including Samson Atukpodo, Steven Ovie, Ugbevo Samson, Afoke Akporobaro, and Evidence Oguname, alongside six others whose identities have yet to be officially confirmed.
Preliminary findings indicate that the perpetrators were criminal elements who exploited the situation to carry out acts of sexual violence, emphasizing that the incident bears no connection to any recognized cultural or traditional practice. Authorities have strongly condemned the development, describing it as unacceptable and assuring the public of their commitment to ensuring justice is served.
The Commissioner of Police further called on victims and witnesses to assist the investigation by providing relevant information, assuring that all contributions would be handled with utmost confidentiality. He reiterated that investigations are ongoing as efforts continue to identify and apprehend all those involved.
