Police Officers Accused Of Extorting N1m From Corps Members Summoned, Trial Underway – SP Hundeyin
The Lagos State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has shared an update on the case involving officers accused of harassing and extorting N1 million from National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Surulere, Lagos.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Hundeyin revealed that the officers in question, who were caught on camera confronting the corps members, have been summoned, and their trial has already commenced.
This development follows a viral video shared by an X user, which captured the officers in a heated exchange with the corps members. The user also alleged that the officers extorted the sum of N1 million from the NYSC members.
