This season, PSG’s performance has fallen short of expectations, prompting the search for reinforcements for the second half of the campaign.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer, has made a remarkable impact, helping to propel the team to the top of the Süper Lig and enhancing their viability as contenders in the Europa League.

Last year, PSG made a significant €100 million bid for Osimhen after his pivotal role in leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years. However, Napoli rejected the offer, and PSG subsequently explored other options. In the last transfer window, they were again linked to Osimhen when searching for a replacement for Kylian Mbappé after his transfer to Real Madrid, but Napoli’s steep asking price deterred them.

This season, PSG has struggled with consistency, particularly in the Champions League. While they remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 after 13 matches, their European campaign has been concerning, with only one win in five matches, putting their chances of advancing to the knockout stages in jeopardy.

According to French journalist Daniel Riolo (via OjbSports), PSG manager Luis Enrique considers Osimhen a perfect fit to revitalize the team’s campaign. Although PSG has the financial capacity to make a compelling offer, Galatasaray is resolute in their intention to keep Osimhen at least until the season’s end. The striker has also publicly committed to finishing the campaign in Istanbul.
