Raphael Kangha Makes Waves With New Album Grateful Heart

The acclaimed minister, whose life and ministry are closely intertwined, delivers a worship experience that blends traditional Ijaw musical elements with contemporary gospel sounds, creating a unique style that resonates across different generations and audiences.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the project, Raphael noted that Grateful Heart emerged from a place of deep appreciation to God, despite life’s challenges. He explained that the album reflects his testimony of victory through divine mercy and grace, which he believes transforms pain into beauty.

He further expressed that his desire is for listeners, regardless of their life journey, to encounter God through the songs, experience spiritual upliftment, and have their burdens lifted, emphasizing that sincere worship invites divine response and transformation.

With over fifteen years of experience in music ministry, vocal arrangement, and creative leadership, Raphael has featured on prominent platforms including the RCCG Annual Convention Melody Hour and the Messiah Marathon Praise, which reaches global audiences via Dove TV, YouTube, and RCCG’s international media network.

The album is said to reflect his commitment to authentic worship, musical excellence, and the preservation of Niger Delta’s rich cultural soundscape, with standout tracks such as Goodness of God, Galeku dua, and Olotu showcasing his deep spiritual expression.

Raphael, who is the founder of the LEGACY Gospel Music Concert and serves as music director of the RCCG Region 27 Youth and Young Adults Choir in Bayelsa State, is also known for mentoring young gospel artists and guiding emerging music ministers.
