Following an intense gun duel, the kidnappers abandoned their victim and fled, leaving behind their operational vehicle and a weapon.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects. In a related operation, the police also arrested a suspected criminal with a locally made pistol and other items in Oyigbo.
