Se Ope: Why We Must Celebrate Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition And Give Thanks To God By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily.-Gerald Good
Today is thanksgiving Tuesday, we must take out time to appreciate what we have. This particular post is for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s fans to take out time and celebrate what they have, make sure you share this post with your friends it is essential we give thanks to God in all we do.
Don’t get bullied by these haters that want to make you look inferior because you have Tinubu as your choice, they want to blackmail you that you are part of the problem of Nigeria because of your love for Tinubu.
Maximum respect to Wande Coal who inspired this article, if I was a musician I would have done a remix.
Leggo…
The title of this song is “Se Ope”
“Lord I’m grateful, For being there for me..Lord, I’m thankful
For all, you’ve done for me”
“Some have food but they cannot eat…Some can eat but they have no food
We have food and we can eat……Glory be to Jah Jehovah”
Today we should be thanking God that Tinubu did not fail us by contesting for 2023 presidential election, most of us in this struggle started years back and during all these periods we were loathed by these haters who do not want to see the Nation progress because of their sentiments and raw hate for Tinubu.
Today it’s about nine weeks to the presidential primaries and yet we can’t see their presidential hopefuls.
Every aspirant jumping upandan now are the same people we have seen their faces before, Tinubu happens to be a newbie in the presidential race and comes with the best antecedents of performance in governance.
His achievements as Lagos State Governor is an attestation of his visionary leadership. Today Lagos is an institution where the governors have no choice but to follow the road map to sustainable development.
Lagos is not only the fifth largest economy in Africa it is the only state that has created new cities since 1999. Look at Lekki Pennisula, Banana Island and the latest sensational Eko Atlantic.
So why won’t we be grateful? Some have presidential aspirants but can not market them, we have a presidential Aspirant in Tinubu that we can Market.
Let us evaluate them, from Adamawa to Sokoto, down to Kwara across to Anambra, how many new cities have come out from those states? Anambra is even dirtier than it was in 1999, Sokoto is at what developmental stage today?
Rivers State with all its oil revenue and IGR all these years can boast of how many new cities?
Today Lagos State remains the centre of excellence and you say we should not be grateful we have Tinubu?
“Some go school but they no pass JAMB….Some pass JAMB but they no go school
We go school cos we pass JAMB……Glory be to Jah Jehovah”
Tinubu graduated from the Chicago State University and was awarded the prestigious Sumna cum laude (a latin phrase meaning “with the highest honour.”) for scoring 3.54 out of possible 4.0 GP due to his academic prowess.
With his successful academic profile, young Bola contested and won his first political election as the President of the Accounting Society of the institution in his final year at the University.
Upon graduation with honours and several awards, Bola Tinubu cut his professional teeth at the American-based Arthur Anderson, Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now called Deloitte Haskins and Touche) and GTE Service Corporation – the largest Communication and Utility Company in the United States of America.
Tinubu later joined Mobil Producing Nigeria as a Senior Auditor before he retired as the company’s Treasurer.
“Some have shoes but got no legs…Some got legs but they have no shoes
We have shoes and we got legs…
Why won’t we stop and celebrate? Tinubu is an accomplished technocrat, an astute politician and an academician. Glory be to God we have all that it takes to match their imaginary Mr FINESSE.
“Some of them fine but got no spouse…Some got spouse but them no fine.
You got spouse and yet you fine……..Glory be to Jah Jehovah”
Why won’t we be happy? Many of their aspirants have no home support, they claim to be Mr acceptable but yet how many are backed by their traditional rulers? Which support do they have?
Tinubu has already been endorsed by the South West Traditional Rulers, the Northern crew have endorsed his aspiration and yet we say we should not take a break and dance? Glory be to God.
“I say some got front but got no back…Some got back but they got no front
You get front and you get back….Better open your mouth and thank the Lord”
Look at them criticizing you, they have imaginary youthful aspirants that have no money to contest, that have no plans, no blueprint, no whatever, just an imaginary youth that would emerge on the eve of the primaries.
We have Tinubu who is experienced enough, who has the financial resources and the wisdom to lead, and you say we should not be grateful? Glory be to Allah.
“All I’m trying to say…The situation that you find yourself
You can thank the Lord for anything….For anything at all o hey
There’s nothing too small to thank the Lord for…Better stop nagging and thank the Lord more.
The more you thank the Lord the more He opens up the door”
God bless Wande Coal for this beautiful inspirational song culled from our nursery rhymes.
All I am saying is that we should dwell less on these naysayers and focus on the quality product we have to sell. Tinubu is way too big for their ideas so they detest him.
The presidency is not all about fine boys, or meeting the expectations of a few. It requires maturity, tolerance, capability, transparency, prudency, financial accountability, diplomatic network and so much more.
Tinubu has all the criteria listed in any platform to qualify for the presidency, it hurts when they know they have no credible alternative to the Jagaban so all they do is curse at you for following the path of reality.
They have made Tinubu the subject of the electoral contest and call his name in any mishap including the inability to even impregnate their wives.
Tinubu is the reason why things are expensive and yet they don’t have a single individual that can surpass Tinubu’s vision and economic plans.
Tinubu operated Lagos for years without FEDERAL allocations, and yet Lagos came out stronger, they should come and tell us these ex-governors and serving governors that are struggling to pay salaries, which of them that can operate a local government for one month without Federal allocation?
Hypocrites that have refused to remove the log in their eyes have decided to derail you with emotional blackmail that Tinubu is the reason why they are FAILURES. Sing the song for dem As E DEY PAIN DEM NA SO E DEY SWEET US.
There is nothing too little to be thankful for. Let us open our mouths and thank Baba God, Tinubu is the mandate on which we stand.
