See The Price Of Cement Brands In Nigeria This Week

The persistent high cost of cement has elicited frustration from industry experts and real estate investors, who deem current price levels as unsustainable, unrealistic, and detrimental to investment opportunities.
This steep pricing trend impacts various segments of the real estate industry, including developers, property owners, and end-users, resulting in inflated costs that exceed initial project budgets.
Adeniji Adele, former president of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI)-Nigeria, suggests that addressing this pricing challenge requires liberalizing the cement market. He advocates for the issuance of more manufacturing licenses to enhance supply and meet escalating demand from sectors like commercial real estate development and infrastructure projects.
In the midst of these concerns, the Cement Producers Association of Nigeria (CPAN) has urged President Bola Tinubu to dismantle the existing cement production and distribution monopoly. CPAN calls for a review of the backward integration policy to foster a more competitive market capable of meeting demand at reasonable prices.
Here are the current prices of various cement brands in Nigeria:
Dangote Cement Price: Ranges from N11,000 to N12,500 per 50kg bag, depending on the location.
BUA Cement Price: Priced between N10,000 to N11,000 per bag.
Ibeto Cement Price: New price ranges between N10,000 to N11,000.
Lafarge Cement Price: Ranges from N12,000 to N14,000.
UNICEM Cement Price: Varies between N12,000 to N14,000, predominantly based on the purchase location.
