Shatta Wale Breaks Silence On Burna Boy Fallout: “They Said I Slept With His Woman

According to Ireporter Online, Shatta Wale disclosed during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast that rumours spread by some former artistes associated with him negatively affected his bond with the Grammy-winning singer.

The Ghanaian musician, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., explained that the issue began after he ended his working relationship with about five to seven artistes he had previously signed due to challenges in managing them.

Shatta Wale alleged that following their exit from his label, some of the former associates began spreading false claims about him to people close to him in an attempt to damage his reputation.

He claimed that some influential individuals around him were also approached with accusations involving their personal relationships, but they dismissed the claims after hearing his side of the story.

The singer further alleged that Burna Boy was also contacted with a similar accusation involving a woman who had accompanied the Nigerian artiste to Ghana.

Shatta Wale said he was disappointed that Burna Boy allegedly accepted the claim without first seeking clarification from him, especially considering the support he had shown the Nigerian singer over the years.

“I was disappointed that he believed the allegation without speaking to me first. I have always supported Burna Boy and wanted to celebrate his success. I became worried when he stopped responding to my calls and messages,” he said.

The dancehall star added that the situation left him concerned because he valued the relationship he had built with Burna Boy and never expected it to be affected by unverified claims.

Shatta Wale maintained that he had always wished Burna Boy success and hoped that their relationship could be understood beyond the rumours that allegedly caused the disagreement.
