Sh*ck In Lagos: Council Administrator Passes Away In India

The Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Council Manager, Bakare Olakunle Olanrewaju, has passed away in India following a prolonged battle with a cancer-related illness. According to Ireporter Online, his death was confirmed in a social media condolence message by his close associate, Duke Olabode Sakirudeen.

Sakirudeen revealed that Bakare, who was reportedly in his late 50s, had been receiving medical treatment in India prior to his passing. He described the late council manager as a dedicated public servant who earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout his career.

“Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Council Manager, Mr. Bakare, dies after a protracted illness. The Council Manager, in his late fifties, passed away from a cancer-related ailment in India a few days ago,” Sakirudeen stated.

He further praised Bakare as a calm, intelligent, and professional officer, recalling their collaboration on numerous projects. “Bakare was a level-headed, brilliant officer whom I had worked with on various occasions. He was a friend and brother. His loss is deeply painful,” he added.

Colleagues and associates have mourned Bakare’s passing, highlighting his significant contributions to local government administration. Many expressed hope that his family and colleagues would find strength during this difficult time.
