According to the report, published on February 24, 2025, the ex-NSA was the head of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company at the time, the agency responsible for printing Nigeria’s currency.

The investigation was carried out in collaboration with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), The Post and Courier (South Carolina), and The Houston Chronicle (Texas). It also revealed that the ex-NSA’s wife applied for an American investor visa, citing the horse farm purchase as part of their investment.

In her visa application, she reportedly claimed that the funds originated from a $1 million lobbying contract that her husband allegedly secured as head of Nigeria’s Mint to influence Ghanaian officials on behalf of a Texas-based oil company.

However, U.S. authorities rejected the visa application, raising concerns about the legitimacy of the funds used in the transaction. Despite these concerns, no further legal action was taken against the property itself.

The report stated:

• “The former NSA acquired the 127-acre horse farm while serving as the head of Nigeria’s Security Printing and Minting Company.
• His wife attempted to justify their $1 million investment in the farm by claiming her husband was paid to lobby Ghanaian officials for an oil company.
• U.S. authorities flagged the funds as questionable and denied her investor visa application, but took no further action against the farm.”

Further revelations indicate that the ex-NSA later transferred ownership of the farm to his wife, who converted it into a luxury Airbnb rental and wedding venue.

The farm boasts:

✅ A quarter-mile track
✅ A stadium ring with jumps
✅ Four barns & trails throughout the property

Despite the controversy surrounding its purchase, the farm remains operational, generating revenue as a high-end event center.
