Adeboye made this declaration during the RCCG Holy Ghost Service of the 71st Annual Convention at the Redemption Camp, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, on Friday.

The respected pastor revealed that he had been accused by some prophets of employing demonic powers in his leadership of the church, as well as in his preaching and prophecies to the members.

Adeboye mentioned that he came across certain online publications where self-proclaimed prophets, clergy, and groups made these allegations against him. Addressing the congregation at the event, he called on them to pray that he would die before sunrise if he were indeed guilty of these claims.

He initially chose to disregard these rumors, but he later decided to address them to avoid potential confusion among those who might believe them.

Adeboye stated, “I don’t usually pay attention to the words of so-called prophets, especially if they pertain to me. I usually just ignore them.” However, he shared that he learned that these allegations were being circulated on the internet. During his prayers a few days prior to the Convention, he felt led to address these claims due to the possibility that some people might be influenced by them.

He asked the congregation to join him in praying, saying, “If there is any connection between him and forces of darkness, call upon Almighty God to take his life before the sun rises so that he doesn’t tarnish Your Name. So that he doesn’t mislead numerous innocent people into damnation.” He then requested them to add to the prayer, “But if this individual (Adeboye) is solely using Your divine power, then let that power increase sevenfold.”

In essence, Pastor Adeboye was urging his congregation to pray for his demise if he were indeed involved with demonic forces, and to pray for an increase in divine power if he was only using God’s power in his ministry.
