The trio were taken into custody on Monday evening following a remand order secured by the Nigerian Police Force from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja. Previously, Alex Enenche and Abraham Daniel were arrested on January 7, 2025, on allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche. They were later released on bail after an agreement for amicable resolution was reached.

After appearing at the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on January 10 and 13, they were detained again and subsequently remanded in prison. A source revealed that a fundamental rights application will be filed on Tuesday.
