Terror In Zamfara: 40 Worshippers Abducted During Morning Prayers

According to Ireporter Online, at least 40 worshippers were kidnapped on Monday morning when armed men invaded a mosque in Gidan Turbe village, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The attack reportedly took place around 5:30 a.m. during early morning prayers, as the gunmen surrounded the mosque and forced worshippers out at gunpoint.

Security sources revealed that after the abduction, the victims were taken into the nearby forests along the Gohori axis. The incident has left the community in shock, heightening fears over the rising wave of insecurity in the state. As of the time of filing this report, the police had yet to confirm the development.

In a separate incident, popular gospel singer Femi Solar disclosed that his residence was raided by armed robbers on Friday night. The assailants carted away valuables including mobile phones, electronic gadgets, jewellery, wristwatches, foreign currency, and other personal belongings.

The 41-year-old Apala gospel artiste, who shared the ordeal on Instagram, advised the public not to respond to any calls or messages from his stolen devices, noting that he would be available only on a temporary contact line until the matter is resolved.

Despite the traumatic experience, Solar assured his fans that he and his family were safe, expressing gratitude for their concern and support.
