According to Ireporter Online, at least 40 worshippers were kidnapped on Monday morning when armed men invaded a mosque in Gidan Turbe village, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The attack reportedly took place around 5:30 a.m. during early morning prayers, as the gunmen surrounded the mosque and forced worshippers out at gunpoint.

Security sources revealed that after the abduction, the victims were taken into the nearby forests along the Gohori axis.
