underscoring the administration’s commitment to fostering peace and unity through cultural inclusivity.

Tunji-Ojo made this assertion over the weekend during the centennial celebration of the Okeagbe community in Ondo State.

He remarked that the President has recently revamped the Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) to bolster Nigeria’s cultural identity and leverage economic prospects within the creative sector.

“The ministry aims to promote cultural inclusivity by recognizing Nigeria’s diverse identity and creating economic opportunities through the creative industries. The newly restructured Ministry of Creative Economy and Tourism is meeting expectations, with the Federal Executive Council (FEC) also supporting the growth of the creative sector,” Tunji-Ojo stated.

He praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his remarkable leadership and transformative contributions to Ondo State.

“Our President is dedicated to advancing culture and tourism,” he emphasized. “I extend my congratulations to the people of Okeagbe on their century of unity, harmony, and coexistence, and I am optimistic about the next century of advancement and prosperity.”

Tunji-Ojo also expressed appreciation for being appointed as Minister of Interior, attributing it to President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusivity and excellence.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Rasheed Badmus, urged the Okeagbe community to uphold peace and unity, stressing the crucial role of traditional rulers in preserving cultural heritage.

“We are pleased to report that peace prevails throughout Ondo State,” Aiyedatiwa stated. “In areas such as Ikare, Arigidi, and Okeagbe, harmony has been maintained. The four traditional rulers in attendance coexist peacefully, and we encourage them to continue this positive spirit.”

He added, “The Ondo State government holds our traditional leaders in high regard. When peace exists among them, it is easier to promote our culture. We have engaged with our traditional rulers to ensure they continue to highlight the unique cultures of their communities.

In a statement on behalf of the community’s traditional rulers, the Ajana of Afa Okeagbe, Oba Folorunsho Arasanyin, commended the contributions of Minister Tunji-Ojo and Governor Aiyedatiwa. He affirmed the traditional rulers’ commitment to maintaining peace and enhancing cultural pride within the community.
