Notably absent from the meeting were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and the ousted Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.

During the session, it was reported that Tinubu initially expressed reservations regarding the circumstances of Obasa’s removal. However, after evidence of alleged misconduct and financial improprieties was presented, he was convinced of the decision’s necessity.

The new Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, took the opportunity to assure the President of her commitment to working harmoniously with other arms of government to deliver the dividends of democracy to Lagos residents.
