Tinubu Mocks ADC Coalition: “They’ve Privatized Another Man’s Political Party” (Video)

According to Ireporter Online, President Bola Tinubu has criticised opposition figures, particularly those aligned with a coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that they have little or nothing new to offer Nigeria’s development agenda.

The President argued that many of the individuals in the coalition have held key positions in the past without delivering meaningful progress for the country. He specifically referenced past privatization efforts carried out during the tenure of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, questioning the outcomes of such initiatives.

Tinubu also took a swipe at the coalition, alleging that some of its members previously attempted to exert control over another individual’s political party, a move he claimed was unsuccessful and ultimately rejected.

Speaking on Thursday during a meeting with the leadership and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu said the opposition figures cannot detach themselves from their records in public office, adding that their past actions remain subject to public scrutiny.

Meanwhile, the President reiterated his readiness to contest the 2027 general election, stating that his ambition is to deepen democratic governance, combat poverty, and expand opportunities for Nigerians. He also criticised opposition parties, accusing them of engaging in what he described as political noise rather than constructive engagement.
