Tinubu Orders Crackdown on Plateau Attackers, Assures Justice for Victims
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent brutal attacks in Plateau State and issued a firm directive for the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.
Reacting to the killings that occurred in Ruwi, Hurti, Tadai, Manguna, and Dafo communities within Bokkos Local Government Area, President Tinubu described the attacks as “mindless” and “unacceptable.”
In a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and destruction of properties. He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Plateau State, and Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
President Tinubu has instructed security agencies to pursue and bring the perpetrators to justice, emphasizing that such acts of violence must not be tolerated in Nigeria. He assured Governor Mutfwang of federal support in securing the affected communities.
He also directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to coordinate with state authorities to deliver prompt relief to survivors and communities impacted by the attacks.
“The cycle of violence must end,” Tinubu stated. “We will intensify our efforts to eliminate the forces of evil hiding among us. Our mission to protect every Nigerian remains resolute.”
He called for national unity, urging citizens to reject retaliation and instead promote peace, tolerance, and mutual respect across all divides.
