Tinubu Sends Support To Nigerian Athletes: ‘Aim For Gold’ At Paris Games

As the 2024 Paris Olympic Games commence, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Team Nigeria to represent the country with distinction. In a statement released on Friday, Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, conveyed Tinubu’s full support and that of over 200 million Nigerians, who are united in their prayers and encouragement for the team’s success.

Team Nigeria, consisting of 88 athletes—63 women and 25 men—will compete in 12 sports at the Olympics. President Tinubu expressed his anticipation for seeing the nation’s flagbearer, Tobi Amusan, the world record holder in the 100 meters hurdles, alongside other athletes, perform with honor and dedication.
