Tinubu’s Bold Move: Fulfilling Gowon’s Civil War Promise with South East Development Commission

Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Anthony Ibezi, a key figure in Anambra State’s All Progressive Congress (APC), has lauded President Bola Tinubu for enacting the South East Development Commission (SEDC) law. He remarked, “More than fifty years after the Nigeria civil war, General Yakubu Gowon’s promise of ‘reconciliation, reconstruction, and rehabilitation’ is yet to be fully fulfilled. With SEDC, President Tinubu is about to fulfill Gowon’s promise. I have already commended President Tinubu for his courage and statesmanship in signing the SEDC law.”
