Tinubu’s Daughter Intervenes To Restore Peace In Lagos Butchers Union Crisis

The daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Iyaloja-General, Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, has successfully mediated and resolved the ongoing crisis between the Lagos State Butchers Association and the National Butchers Union of Nigeria.

The crisis, which stemmed from the Lagos State chapter’s attempts to secede from the national body, had been a source of tension within the union. The immediate past state Chairman, Alhaji Bamidele Kazeem, led the state chapter’s efforts to break away, causing friction and division.

During a crucial meeting held on Monday, involving the union’s National President, John Adun, and other key stakeholders, Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo called for peace and urged all parties to work together harmoniously. She emphasized the importance of unity, stating, “Only in an atmosphere of peace can growth occur.”

Following her intervention, an interim chairman, Elder Shola Adetele, was appointed by the national body. Adetele expressed his gratitude to the Iyaloja-General and pledged to lead an inclusive administration focused on the welfare of all union members.

Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo also addressed concerns about favoritism within the union, insisting that welfare benefits be distributed fairly and urging leaders to avoid greed and betrayal.
