Today’s Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate – May 27, 2026
The exchange rate between the United States Dollar and the Nigerian Naira at the parallel market, popularly known as the black market or Aboki FX, remained a major point of interest for traders and forex users on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Market sources in Lagos disclosed that Bureau De Change operators were buying one US dollar at ₦1385 and selling at ₦1395 in the black market. The rates reflect ongoing fluctuations in the foreign exchange market as demand for the dollar continues to influence prices across the country.
Reports further indicated that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) maintained its stance against the recognition of the parallel market, reiterating that individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange transactions should patronize official banking channels and licensed financial institutions.
At the official market, the CBN exchange rate for the dollar to naira traded within the range of ₦1373 to ₦1377. Financial analysts noted that forex rates may vary depending on location, transaction volume, and market conditions, meaning actual buying and selling prices could differ from prevailing figures quoted in different parts of the country.
