Notably, two high-profile terrorists, Hamisu Sale (aka Master) and Abubakar Muhammad, were captured during separate operations in the North Central region. The two are reportedly cooperating with authorities and providing critical intelligence on the terror network.

Additionally, in the North West region, troops apprehended another notorious terrorist leader, Bako Wurgi, who is linked to the murder of a Sokoto Monarch and is a known ally of wanted terrorist Bello Turji. Wurgi sustained gunshot injuries during the firefight; however, he shared valuable intelligence to assist troops before his death.

Additionally, the recovery also included an assortment of ammunition types and various equipment such as five boathouses, motorcycles, and vehicles.

In the Niger Delta, troops discovered and destroyed 35 crude oil cooking ovens, 27 dugout pits, 35 boats, and 61 illegal refining sites, among other items. They also recovered 940,372 liters of stolen crude oil and 252,000 liters of illegally refined AGO.

“Overall, military efforts are focused on achieving lasting peace in the country by holding terrorists accountable for their actions against citizens,” Buba emphasized, urging the public to report any suspicious activities to aid in these efforts.
