The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has issued a fresh warning to Iran, stating that Washington could carry out another military strike against Tehran as tensions between both countries continue to escalate.

According to Ireporter Online, Trump identified Pickaxe Mountain, an underground nuclear facility located near Natanz, as a potential target for future US military action. The site has reportedly drawn attention from Western intelligence agencies over suspicions that Iran may be developing a concealed uranium enrichment facility there.

Trump made the remarks on Tuesday while speaking with journalists during a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House. He suggested that American forces could launch an attack on the facility soon, describing the possible operation as a major military action.

“We’ll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily,” Trump stated.

The US president admitted that publicly revealing a possible military target was unusual, but insisted that Iran would not be able to stop the planned operation. He added that he would typically avoid disclosing details of military plans but believed Tehran had no ability to prevent the move.

Trump further rejected suggestions that the United States was preparing to withdraw from the ongoing confrontation, arguing that Iran would require decades to restore its nuclear and military capabilities after the damage caused by the conflict.

“If we left right now, it would take Iran 20, 25 years to rebuild. We’re not finished at all… we’re not leaving right now,” Trump said.

His comments indicate that the US government intends to maintain pressure on Iran and could pursue additional military actions against facilities believed to be linked to the country’s nuclear programme.

The latest warning comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran following renewed military exchanges in the Middle East. Reports indicate that Iran expanded its attacks in the region, with countries including Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain reportedly affected.

The renewed hostilities have raised concerns over the possibility of a wider regional conflict, with global attention focused on the security of US allies, energy supplies and stability across the Middle East.

Pickaxe Mountain, situated near Iran’s major nuclear facilities around Natanz, has remained a subject of interest for Western intelligence agencies because of its underground location and advanced protective measures.

The facility is believed to be among the more challenging targets for conventional military operations due to its depth beneath the ground and reinforced structure.
