(IGP) Monitoring Team was dispatched to Kano six days ago to arrest him.

Bature made this statement while addressing attendees at the PR Nigeria Young Communication Fellowship event in Kano, where he highlighted his constitutional immunity, which shields individuals within the Government House from arrest without the governor’s consent.

He explained that he had secured a court order blocking his arrest, although he noted that the police had not yet received the order. Nonetheless, the document had circulated widely, and he believed the authorities were aware of it. Despite the ongoing efforts to arrest him, Bature confidently stated he was “fortified” and ready to resist any arrest attempts.

Bature remarked, “I decided to attend this event for three main reasons: first, I believe I should not miss this opportunity, even if arrest is imminent. Second, I have obtained a court order that has already been widely shared, and I’m sure the police are aware. Third, I am prepared and fortified to resist any arrest efforts.”

The event occurred amidst a tense situation in Kano, with mounting political and legal challenges.
