Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda,’ emphasized that the move is in the best interest of the entire nation and not a sectional decision.
Speaking as a Special Guest of Honour at the 10th Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture and Merit Awards in Maiduguri, Borno state, Shettima, through his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, highlighted the event as a platform for critical stakeholders, including traditional rulers, to collaboratively address pressing issues like insecurity, banditry, kidnapping, poverty, and corruption.
Shettima reassured the people of the North that the relocation is aligned with President Tinubu’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
He urged critics to refrain from opposing the decision, stating that any resistance is tantamount to acting as “mischief makers.”
This development underscores the government’s commitment to strategic policy decisions that promote national development, setting the stage for potential economic and administrative advancements with the relocation of these key institutions.
