Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye stated that NNPCL conducted spot checks at its outlets and confirmed that the fuel in question was not sourced from any of its locations.

Soneye further emphasized that NNPCL strictly adheres to high standards and rigorous quality control, ensuring that only safe and reliable petroleum products are dispensed at its stations. In a statement released Thursday, Soneye remarked, “NNPCL does not dispense petroleum products into bottles or jerrycans, as depicted in the video, nor does it sell adulterated products.”

NNPCL urged the public to disregard the claims made in the video, labeling them as misleading. The company reassured Nigerians of its commitment to accurate pump integrity through regular inspections and calibration across its nationwide stations, discouraging any narrative suggesting otherwise.
