‘We Must Make Distinction Between Christian By Mouth, Devil At Heart’ – Oshiomhole Attacks Babachir Lawal
Former APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole has attacked former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal for casting aspersion on the Muslim-Muslim ticket of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.
Oshiomhole, in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday wondered how people like Lawal who is under prosecution for grass-cutting scam could be the voice of Christians to castigate the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“People who are on record as being prosecuted for misappropriating money that a Muslim president appropriated in favour of Christian children who were displayed, were recently converted to grasscutter.
“They have become the new voice of Christianity, so we must make a distinction between Christian by mouth and devil at heart who want to see Nigeria engulf in war which nobody can win” Oshiomhole attacked Lawal.
He added: “Who is a better Christian in the Nigerian context? Somebody like Asiwaju who has a Christian wife of about 40 years and happily married, with no record of divorce with four, five children and no record of divorce?”

Oshiomhole also said nobody could hold Tinubu responsible for what happened in the government of Buhari, as he had never been in government.
“In appropriating blame, you look at their roles, he (Tinubu) was a founding member of APC, but he was never part of the government, never held any position in government.
“He never got any contract in government, you can’t credit him, it is just like the Vice President who said he has been given the power by the president to chair the economic team, economic policies, you can ask him to account for economic policies,” he stated.
Oshiomhole added that there was no way Tinubu could campaign with the same manifesto Buhari used as things had changed between 2015 and now.
“Buhari came with his own manifesto in 2015 and this is a dynamic environment, so you don’t have to be detained by the past,” he said.
