This same individual, Otunba Gbenga Daniel—known politically as OGD—led under a veneer of “omoluabi” principles while leaving behind a legacy of unchecked political repression, according to iReporter Online.

OGD’s tenure was marked not by good governance but by orchestrated lawlessness, under the guise of demanding loyalty to himself rather than to his party or the state. If not for collective historical amnesia, his troubling record should forever disqualify him from holding public office again. He laments political harassment by Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration. But if that’s the case, he’d do better to call for de-escalation than invoke principles of equity—principles he knowingly dismissed while in office. After all, those with soiled hands have no right to seek mercy.
