According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Bamike Adenibuyan, widely known as BamBam, has explained why she turns down certain roles that involve deep spiritual or diabolical themes. The actress disclosed in a recent interview that she avoids such characters whenever she is not mentally or spiritually prepared to handle them.

The mother of two noted that her emotional sensitivity as an actor greatly influences the type of scripts she accepts. She stressed that acting requires intense focus and psychological balance, adding that taking on spiritually heavy roles without adequate readiness could affect her state of mind.

“I am a very sensitive actor. I try to avoid deeply spiritual films, especially when I’m not sure or spiritually ready for them,” she stated.

Reflecting on her role as Chioma in Love in Every Word, BamBam said she took time to understand the character’s internal struggles before merging them with her own personal essence to deliver a convincing portrayal. She emphasized that interpreting a character begins with understanding their background and motivations in order to respond as they naturally would.
