Nollywood actor Williams Uchemba has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late colleague, Alex Ekubo, describing his death as a spiritual transition rather than a final goodbye.

In an emotional message shared on his Instagram page, Uchemba expressed his belief that Ekubo had returned to his creator, noting that the actor belonged to Jesus and was now resting in divine peace.

The movie star stated that the final years of a person’s life are the most significant, adding that he was comforted by the fact that Ekubo drew closer to God during his last moments on earth.

Uchemba said he remained hopeful that they would reunite someday and included a humorous message asking the late actor to greet his mother in heaven. He jokingly advised Ekubo to look out for her by her well-known phrase, “Jehovah bu Eze,” meaning “Jesus is King.”

He also made a lighthearted remark about asking biblical King Solomon where he kept all his riches, adding a touch of humor to his deeply emotional farewell.

Despite the pain of losing a close friend, Uchemba said he would not weep because he believed Ekubo had been freed from the struggles and burdens of the world.

He concluded his tribute by describing the late actor as an intelligent and cherished friend, wishing him eternal rest and bidding him farewell until they meet again.
