Yilwatda Breaks Silence: ‘We Never Had Personal Grudges With Mutfwang
According to Ireporter Online, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has affirmed his commitment to working with Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State to advance the development of the state.
Speaking at the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Yilwatda called on his supporters in Plateau to let go of any animosity toward the governor. He clarified that any prior differences with Mutfwang were strictly political and that there has never been a personal quarrel between them.
Yilwatda also sought prayers as he continues to lead what he described as the largest political party in Africa. He emphasized that with both leaders now aligned in the same political camp, their shared focus is on ensuring peace and development for the people of Plateau.
“Today, I want to thank God for two reasons. We have united with my brother, Governor Mutfwang, in the same party, and we will provide the best we can. By God’s grace and with your support, Plateau will receive the attention it deserves at both the national and state levels,” he stated.
He reiterated, “We never had any personal problem, and we never had any personal grudges. Our differences were political. We have closed those gaps and are working together to ensure peace and development for our people.”
Yilwatda urged anyone holding grudges against the governor due to his influence to reconcile and allow peace to prevail. He further expressed gratitude to the church for its prayers, noting that divine guidance had supported him in managing the party’s growing membership and internal activities.
