Yilwatda: Bye-Elections Just The Beginning, APC Set For 2027 Triumph

APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda expressed strong confidence that the ruling party would replicate its recent bye-election victories in the 2027 general elections.

During a condolence visit to the APC Press Corps in Abuja over the passing of his mother, Yilwatda highlighted the party’s strategic learning from opposition criticisms, asserting that such feedback helps improve their chances of success.

According to iReporter Online, he emphasized that APC’s victories spanned across Nigeria’s regions, including Kaduna, Kano, Adamawa, Taraba, South-south, South-west, North-west, North-east, and North-central, demonstrating the party’s broad acceptance nationwide.

The APC leader claimed that the party enjoys about 75% acceptance among Nigerians, both in the North and South, and stressed that their focus remains on grassroots support rather than televised rhetoric.

According to iReporter Online, Yilwatda pointed out that the government’s policies are progressive and targeted at uplifting the poorest of the poor, rather than the elite.

He expressed confidence that these policies have garnered popular support, which will ensure APC’s victory in 2027.

Meanwhile, in Ekiti State, the alumni of Ekiti State University have purchased the nomination form for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election bid.

According to iReporter Online, Dipo Bamisheyi, speaking on behalf of the alumni group, praised Oyebanji’s achievements in economic policies, agriculture, social benefits, and security, asserting that these efforts have made Ekiti State the safest in Nigeria.

The group expressed strong belief that Oyebanji is poised for a second term based on his track record.
