‌Zamfara Govt Vows To Demolish Communities Protecting BanditsThe Zamfara State Government has issued a stern warning to communities sheltering bandits, threatening to demolish any village found to be aiding such criminal activities.

This announcement was made by the Deputy Governor, Malam Mani Mummuni, during a visit to Tsafe Emirate to console the community after nine members of the state’s local security force, the Community Protection Guards (CPG), were ambushed and killed by bandits along the Tsafe-Funtua road.

Mummuni specifically called out the Maikwanugga community, accusing its residents of providing shelter and supplies to the bandits. He explained that the village, located less than half a kilometer from the main road, allowed the bandits to stay overnight before launching their attack on the CPG operatives, who were on duty to protect travelers.

“The village is just less than half a kilometer from the main road, yet they chose to support bandits in their deadly mission against our security personnel working to safeguard innocent lives,” Mummuni said.
