JUST IN: Tension As Explosion Rocks Media House In Port Harcourt

Armed assailants used explosives to attack a local media house in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

At around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the facility housing Atlantic TV and Wish 99.5 FM in Port Harcourt’s Ozuoba neighborhood was reportedly attacked with dynamite, Improvised Explosive Devices, and ammunition.

The owner of the outfit, Chinyere Igwe, who is also a member of the House of Representatives, confirmed the incident over the phone, saying the explosion damaged the generator house.

He, however, said, “we have informed the police, some detachment of the police came and the DPO called to inform me today some bomb experts are coming for future investigations”.

It’s worth noting that there were no casualties or injuries reported at the scene.
