APC Chairman Affirms Tinubu-Shettima 2027 Presidential Ticket

According to reports, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has confirmed the party’s decision to present President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as its presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2027 general election.

Yilwatda disclosed this in a statement shared on Friday, stating that the move reflects the party’s collective commitment to sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda and building on what it described as the progress recorded under the current administration.

The APC chairman confirmed that the nomination forms for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket had earlier been submitted to the party by Ibrahim Masari, the President’s Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, during a ceremony held at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.

He described the presentation of the forms as a significant milestone for the party, adding that it demonstrated APC’s confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as they seek another mandate from Nigerians.

The event attracted several top APC figures, including the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, alongside other governors, party leaders, executives and key stakeholders from across the country.

Yilwatda assured that the party would continue efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures, consolidate its achievements and promote policies aimed at creating a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Nigeria.

He noted that the APC remains united and focused as it prepares for the 2027 elections, with emphasis on sustaining the administration’s programmes and expanding its support base nationwide.
