2023 Presidential Election: See Yobe Final Result
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has won the February 25 presidential election in Yobe State.
Prof Umar Pate, the State Returning Officer, announced that Atiku received 198,567 votes.
The former Vice President defeated his closest rivals, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, by over 45,000 votes (NNPP).
Tinubu received 151,459 votes, Obi received 2,406 votes, and Kwankwaso received 18,270 votes.
Yobe is the home state of Senate President Ahmad Lawan, an APC chieftain who was elected to the Yobe North Senatorial seat but failed to deliver the state for his party’s presidential candidate.
