2023 Elections: See Result From 8 Local Governments In Plateau

In Plateau State, the Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, has won in six of the eight local government areas declared by the electoral commission, INEC. In the other two, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, won.

The state has 17 LGAs, but as of 9 a.m., only the results of eight had been announced at the INEC State Collation Centre.

The results of the eight local governments were presented at the collation centre presided over by Shehu Abdulrahman, the state’s returning officer for the presidential election, the vice-chancellor of Federal University, Lafiya, and the State Resident Commissioner, Oliver Agundu.

According to the results, Mr Obi won in the LGAs of Langtang North, Barikin Ladi, Riyom, Jos East, Mangu, and Bokkos, while the PDP candidate won in the LGAs of Langtang South and Mikang.

As of the time of writing, the APC’s Bola Tinubu had yet to be declared the winner in any local government.
