2023 Presidential Election: See Edo Final Result

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate, won the presidential election in Edo State on February 25.

Mr Obi received 331, 163 votes, trailing the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, who received 144, 471 votes.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the state’s ruling party, received 89, 585 votes, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) received 2, 743 votes, according to Nations Newspaper.

The results were announced by Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, vice chancellor of the University of Uyo and INEC’s Collation Officer for the state election.

Mr Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, won in 12 local government areas, including Igueben, Esan Central, Edo South, and Edo Central, according to the results breakdown.

Mr Tinubu, on the other hand, won in six LGAs, including Owan East, Akoko-Edo, Etsako Central, and Etsako West. The local government areas are in Edo North Senatorial District, which is home to Adams Oshiomhole, a former party chairman.
