See What Happened To Man Who Removed 50 Skulls From Graves In Ogun Community

Community leaders in Ipokia, Ogun State, arrested a man simply identified as Gbesemehan Dewanu Solomon as one of those exhuming human skulls from graves in the town.

According to Vanguard, a few months ago, dead bodies in the ancient town of Ipokia could no longer rest in peace because unknown ritualists invaded the town to dig into graves for their skulls.

Residents of Ipokia reported that the ritualists, who worked under the cover of darkness, had removed over 50 human skulls from graves.

Without relying on the police or other security personnel, community leaders took action to apprehend the perpetrators.

Their efforts were said to have paid off on Monday night, when they arrested Solomon in Idologun.

It was also discovered that the suspect was about to exhume a skull when he was apprehended by the residents.

He was apprehended with a skull in his bag as well as the tools he uses to dig out the dry heads.

The Onipokia of Ipokia, Oba Yisa Olaniyan, confirmed the ritualist’s arrest and said the suspect had been handed over to the police.

Oba Olaniyan urged the Ogun State Police command to do everything possible to apprehend Solomon’s accomplices and those who bought the skulls from him, saying, “We must get to the bottom of this matter, and everybody involved, no matter who they are.”

The traditional ruler revealed that human skulls were discovered during a police search of the man’s home.
