BREAKING: Niger’s Coup Leaders, Nigeria’s Intervention Team Reach Agreement (VIDEOS)

Over the weekend, a delegation from Nigeria’s Intervention Team, which included well-known Islamic scholars from the country, held discussions with the leaders of the recent coup in Niger.

Both sides reached a mutual agreement to prioritize and escalate the use of dialogue as a primary approach to resolving the ongoing political crisis within Niger.

Under the leadership of Sheik Bala Lau, the Islamic Ulammas engaged in extensive talks with General Abdourahmane Tchiani, with the discussions taking place for several hours in Niamey, the capital of Niger.

During this meeting, all pertinent issues were thoroughly considered, including the specific demand put forth by ECOWAS leaders for the reinstatement of former President Bazoum.
