Edo: 84-Year-Old Man Kills 75-Year-Old Wife For Denying Him S*x
Edo State police in South-South Nigeria have apprehended an 84-year-old man, Gabriel Ahuwa, on suspicion of murdering his 75-year-old wife allegedly due to her refusal to engage in s*xual activities with him.
According to the accused, his wife had been declining his s*xual advances for a considerable period, and she consistently provided excuses to avoid intimacy with him.
Ahuwa conveyed that he was unable to afford prostitutes and made accusations that his wife was involved with a clergyman.

This incident involving Ahuwa emerged as part of a larger wave of arrests conducted by the state police command, encompassing 198 suspects involved in an array of crimes including armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder.
The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, addressed the media during a press conference on Wednesday, revealing, “The suspect is not showing remorse. Even after killing his wife, he still maintains that his action was the only solution to her refusal to engage in s*xual activity.”

Ahuwa expressed, “My wife disregarded my requests; whenever I asked her to be intimate with me, she consistently turned me down. We have a family of seven children, comprising five boys and two girls.”
“I sought assistance from both my family and her family, yet she dismissed their advice and continued her behavior. I discovered rumors about her involvement with pastors.”
“Whenever I requested s*xual intimacy, she’d claim illness or an ulcer, but I came to hear about her liaisons with other men, and my financial situation didn’t allow me to engage prostitutes.”
“Last Saturday afternoon, I picked up a cutlass within our home and attacked her, inflicting injuries on various parts of her body. I did this in a fit of anger due to her disobedience, and I wanted people to be aware of it.”
Nevertheless, he expressed remorse for his actions.
