Palliatives: DSS Sends Strong Warning To Governors

DSS

The Department of State Services (DSS) has urged governors of the North East geopolitical zone to prioritize the effective distribution of relief materials as a means to enhance security progress in the region plagued by insurgency.

This directive was one of the key points outlined in the communiqué issued following the conclusion of the quarterly conference of DSS directors from the six states in the North East. The conference took place at the headquarters of the secret police in Maiduguri.

The primary focus of the gathering of DSS directors in Maiduguri was to address regional security concerns and emphasize the vital role of intelligence gathering in the ongoing battle against terrorism.

After their discussions, the directors, led by their chairman Abdullahi Hussani, paid a visit to Borno State governor Babagana Zulum. They presented the communiqué summarizing their deliberations during the conference.

Governor Zulum, who also holds the position of chairman for the North-East Governors’ Forum, expressed gratitude to the directors for their efforts. He assured them of his commitment to collaborating with fellow governors to reestablish stability in the troubled region.

Furthermore, Governor Zulum pledged to coordinate with the governors of Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, and Bauchi to ensure the effective and equitable distribution of the relief materials to the local populace.
