BREAKING: Tinubu To Hold Bilateral Meetings With Biden, Others At UNGA (DETAILS)

President Bola Tinubu is slated to engage in bilateral discussions and business meetings with US President Joe Biden during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Departing from Abuja on Sunday, he will also confer with Brazilian President Lula Silva, along with other global leaders.

This was revealed by Special Adviser to the President Ajuri Ngelale, in a briefing at the Presidential Villa Abuja before the President’s departure to New York.

Ngelale detailed that President Tinubu will convene with prominent CEOs and leaders of multinational corporations spanning various sectors of the economy.

This includes a meeting with Brad Smith, the President of Microsoft, to further digital transformation efforts in the country. Additionally, Tinubu is set to engage in discussions with Sir Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs for Meta Technologies, focusing on leveraging innovations like artificial intelligence to impact business practices in Nigeria.

Meetings with global CEOs from General Electric and Exxon Mobil Oil and Gas Company are also on the agenda.

Ngelale emphasized that the President aims to robustly attract foreign direct investment into the country as part of his economic development diplomatic initiatives.

He noted that Tinubu will participate in the Africa Global Business Initiative, with a focus on generating foreign direct investment, creating more jobs, and increasing tax revenues in Nigeria. The President also aims to ensure that Nigerian companies have equitable access to foreign and international markets.
