This initiative, disclosed during a crucial security briefing at the Solomon Arase Command and Control Centre in Benin City, saw the governor standing alongside all security chiefs in the state.

Governor Obaseki, reiterating his commitment to the safety of Edo’s citizens and their property, emphasized ongoing collaborations with security agencies to combat crime effectively. During the briefing, he stated, “We are having this security briefing this morning to let the public know the measures that security agencies and Edo State government are taking to secure lives and property in Edo State.”

Addressing recent security challenges, particularly in Edo North, where a burial event turned into an outbreak of arson and assault on security forces in Oja Village, Obaseki declared, “Government can’t fold its hands and allow a breakdown of law and order in the state,” assuring decisive actions to address the incidents and a firm resolve to deal with the aftermath of the events last Saturday.
