The incident unfolded when officers intercepted Mohammed’s vehicle along the Jalingo-Yola bye-pass. CP Joseph Eribo, the State Commissioner of Police, revealed the suspect’s attempt to bribe officers with the substantial sum, emphasizing the officers’ unwavering commitment to justice.

Further investigations uncovered additional funds in the suspect’s bank account, and the police believe he is connected to criminal activities, despite his denial.

In a separate success, the Anti-Kidnapping team apprehended a crew of suspected kidnappers, recovering three AK47 rifles and gaining crucial information to pursue other members of the gang.
