Lone Tragedy On Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway Claims Two Lives, Injures Two Others

Mr. Anthony Uga, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, confirmed the incident on Saturday, revealing that the accident involved a Mitsubishi SUV carrying three males and a female.

Sadly, two of the male occupants succumbed to their injuries, while a male and the lone female passenger sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Uga disclosed that family members of the deceased retrieved the bodies, while the survivors were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Attributing the accident to mechanical failure resulting in the loss of vehicle control, the sector commander underscored the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and checks before embarking on journeys.

He urged motorists to prioritize vehicle inspections and adhere strictly to traffic regulations to prevent avoidable loss of lives on the roads.
