Defence Minister Declares War On Banditry: Troops Ordered To Capture Notorious Bandit In Northwest

During a speech at the One Brigade Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State, Badaru acknowledged that while improvements have been made, challenges persist.

He stated, “The President has urged me to express his gratitude and encourage you to intensify efforts to address insecurity in these operational areas and throughout the country. He is committed to providing all necessary resources to combat insecurity in the Northwest and Nigeria as a whole.”

Badaru also mentioned that he received positive reassurances from the commanding officer, expressing confidence in achieving the mission: “Are you ready to finish with them? Are you ready to end it? Please get me Turji,” he urged.

The Defence Minister visited the Operation Fansar Yamma in Gusau for briefings on military operations. He was welcomed by Major General Oluyinka Soyele, the Commander of the Joint Taskforce Northwest Operation Fansar Yamma, along with Zamfara State’s Deputy Governor, Mani Mumun, and other dignitaries.
