During an appearance on Sky Bet’s Stick to Football podcast on Thursday, the former Liverpool player noted that Rashford’s recent performances have diminished his prospects for the England squad, especially since he has been an unused substitute in Manchester United’s last two matches.

“I think it’s time for him to move on. I’ve seen reports linking him to clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG.

“It’s Marcus Rashford… am I missing something? He can’t even get into the Manchester United team, and he’s not in the England squad,” Carragher remarked on the podcast.

Rashford has faced challenges in securing consistent playing time under new manager Ruben Amorim.

PUNCH Online previously reported that Rashford hinted at a potential move away from Manchester United, suggesting he is ready for a new chapter in his career.

The 27-year-old was omitted from the squad that secured a victory against Manchester City last weekend.

Amorim has indicated his commitment to helping Rashford regain his top form, but his decision to bench the forward has fueled speculation regarding a possible exit next year.

Carragher, however, believes that Rashford should leave Old Trafford, although he may need to adjust his expectations regarding the caliber of his next club.
