In a statement released on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, Afolabi highlighted key security measures, including restricted access for armed VIP escorts and designated parking zones to manage traffic flow.

“VIP escorts will not be permitted to enter the venue with rifles. However, they may remain stationed around the stadium perimeter,” Afolabi stated.

The police advised commuters to use alternative routes to ease congestion and urged vehicle owners to park in safer locations to prevent obstruction or damage.

Security agencies have been tasked with enforcing these measures to guarantee a smooth and incident-free ceremony. The Commissioner called on residents to cooperate with law enforcement for the success of the event.
