LASEMA Intervenes In Medical Centre Fire, Prevents Wider Impact

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has successfully managed a fire outbreak at Ago Medical Centre, located off Ago Palace Way in Okota. LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday….READ MORE

He revealed that the agency quickly activated the state’s emergency response protocol after receiving distress calls through the 767/112 Emergency Toll-Free Lines at 6:29 p.m. on Friday.

Upon arriving at 6:50 p.m., LASEMA’s Eagle Response Team discovered that part of a building housing the medical centre was engulfed in flames. Initial investigations showed that the fire was caused by a power surge, which sparked when electricity was restored. Thankfully, no casualties or injuries were reported.
